- Active Desktop Calendar 7.0 or later
Restoring calendar data

If you have a calendar database file (the original or a backup copy) then you can restore it in three easy steps as outlined here.
- Click "Open Backup File" button on the data restore dialog box, select the backup file to restore and click Open. Calendar database files have the extension .XDAT. After opening the backup file you will see some basic information about its contents.
- Now select one of three available "What To Restore" options. The thing is in that Active Desktop Calendar keeps both data and settings in its database file. Therefore you can select to restore only data, only settings or both.
- Finally click "Restore" button to initiate the restoring process. At this point the program will close down by itself and then you just have to start it again to complete the process.
Important to keep in mind

Pay attention that restoring the calendar this way means a complete replacement of all information existing in the program (all settings and/or data depending on what you chose to restore) with contents of the backup file. This operation can not be undone so you should use the Restore option with full awareness of what you do.
Restore dialog box options

To access the dialog box for restoring calendar data double click on the program's date icon in the taskbar to bring up the Notes View and then choose the Restore option from the Data menu. Here is how this dialog box looks like:
