Calendar database file

Active Desktop Calendar keeps all its data and settings in a single database file. This makes the backup process fairly easy as there is only one file to keep safe.
Built-in automatic backup functionality

By default Active Desktop Calendar performs a daily backup automatically (once in 24h) by making a copy of the calendar database file. The backup copy is saved to the "Active Desktop Calendar Backup" folder that the program creates automatically in your Documents folder. A path to the backup folder is therefore:
- (Windows 7/Vista) C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Active Desktop Calendar Backup\
- (Windows XP) C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\My Documents\Active Desktop Calendar Backup\
A backup file name contains coded information about the date and time when it was created. For example ADCBackup1704251647.xdat would have been created on April 25th 2017 at 4:47pm (year: 17, month: 04, day: 25, hour: 16, minute: 47).
Backup dialog box options

To access the backup dialog box double click on the program's date icon in the taskbar to bring up the Notes View and then choose the Backup option from the Data menu. Here is how the data backup dialog box looks like:
